We are in the process of revamping the way we accrue and allow usage of leave. I would be interested in reviewing your current policy or policies; if you wouldn't mind sharing. We are evaluating the benefits of keeping one "pot" of leave for employees to draw from either as sick leave or as vacation leave. (I promise to keep them confidential)

Thank you Broderick. I would love to review that. A doctors note is one of the other things we are contemplating. I saw that you shared my initial post to facebook and will do that from now on as well, instead of a separate fb post. Thank you for all you do to make us all better!
Hey Deb, I will find our policy. However I can tell you we give 2 weeks of paid vacation per year. And two paid sick days. When the employee needs more additional sick time they can take vacation days or if its a more serious sickness they can take unpayed leave with doctors note and management approval.
